MicroStep-MIS is expanding its environmental monitoring portfolio with AirQube6, a near-reference air quality monitor designed for real-time measurement of particulate matter and selected gas pollutants. Developed for professional monitoring networks, AirQube6 helps cities, meteorological services, environmental agencies, and industrial operators obtain local air quality insight where it is needed most.
Air quality can change significantly from one location to another. A residential area, traffic hotspot, construction site, or industrial perimeter may experience pollution patterns that are not fully captured by distant reference stations. AirQube6 supports the creation of denser and more flexible air quality monitoring networks, making it possible to detect local pollution events, track trends, complement existing infrastructure, and support better operational decisions.
The system is designed for monitoring PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4, and PM10 and can be configured with up to six gas sensors depending on the application. Available gas parameters include CH4, CO, CO2, H2S, NH3, NO, NO2, O3, and SO2. Thanks to its modular design, AirQube6 can be adapted for different monitoring needs - from basic air quality observation to more complex multi-parameter environmental monitoring in urban, industrial, and meteorological applications.
Built for practical field deployment, AirQube6 combines a compact body, IP65 protection, low power consumption, and flexible communication options. The monitor supports RS-485 and SDI-12 outputs, with optional 4G/IoT communication, enabling integration into both new and existing monitoring infrastructures. With an output rate starting from 60 seconds, AirQube6 provides near real-time insight into dust, traffic-related pollution, smoke events, or industrial episodes.
One of the main advantages of AirQube6 is its deployment flexibility. It can be delivered as a standalone air quality monitoring solution with its own data logger for customers who want to focus primarily on air quality measurements. At the same time, it can also be integrated into MicroStep-MIS meteorological stations, using already implemented station infrastructure such as power supply, data logging, and communication. This makes AirQube6 especially suitable for meteorological networks that want to expand their environmental monitoring capabilities with air quality data.
