From September 24 to 26, we had the privilege of presenting our latest developments and innovations at the Meteorological Technology World Expo in Vienna—a key event we consider essential to attend each year. This year’s venue, conveniently close to our headquarters in Bratislava, allowed us to extend personalized invitations to many of our clients and partners for exclusive tours of our facilities. Additionally, clients already engaged in training sessions at our headquarters were given the unique opportunity to join us at the expo in Vienna, enhancing their experience with firsthand exposure to the latest in meteorological technology.
A highlight of the 2024 event was our participation in the Slovak Pavilion, a collaborative space we shared with other notable Slovak companies and organizations. Together with IBL Software Engineering, SOFTEC, BARANI meteo innovations, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute, and Water Management Construction, we created a unique pavilion proudly representing Slovakia under the colors of our national flag. The Slovak Pavilion exemplified the synergy between innovative companies and esteemed public institutions, showcasing cutting-edge meteorology, hydrology, and weather forecasting solutions. To further bring Slovak culture to the expo, we hosted a special gathering on Tuesday 24/09 and Wednesday 25/09, where visitors could experience typical Slovak food and drinks and enjoy the warmth of Slovak hospitality. This collaboration reflected how the unity of Slovakia’s public and private sectors enables us to address today’s dynamic meteorological challenges together.
At booth #8012, we showcased an array of innovative products, including the Portable Meteorological Station equipped with a suite of meteorological sensors and monitoring devices and MicroStep-MIS data loggers, allowing visitors to experience a basic sensor configuration live. The IMS4 Remote Observer Camera made its expo debut, while our Calibration Laboratory continued to impress attendees with its advanced capabilities.
We were also thrilled to host Jakub Nagy from the Picoballoon project, an ultralight weather-sounding probe that weighs less than 5 grams yet is packed with advanced sensors and electronics. Using a superpressure balloon, Picoballoon can circumnavigate the globe for weeks, gathering valuable meteorological data. We are proud to support Jakub and his team as they push the boundaries of atmospheric research with this remarkable innovation.
Furthermore, we were pleased to participate in the TECO-2024 Conference, held alongside the expo this year. Our team contributed two posters to the conference, authored by Adam Krovina and Lukáš Ivica, which presented our latest advancements in meteorological technology. The posters, titled Enhancing Calibration Capacity in Compact Relative Humidity Calibrators and A Novel Camera-based Approach to Increase the Quality, Objectivity and Efficiency of Aeronautical Meteorological Observations, showcased our commitment to pushing the boundaries in calibration and environmental monitoring.
This year’s expo was one of our most successful and significant events. Our stand was continuously bustling with visitors, allowing us to connect with both current and prospective partners. Throughout the exhibition, we showcased a range of our products and systems, treating visitors to a taste of Slovak hospitality with local delicacies and beverages.
Our marketing department deserves special recognition for their exceptional efforts in organizing our company’s presence as well as the Slovak Pavilion. From coordinating a cohesive visual identity to supporting our partners in preparation, the team’s contributions were invaluable. Together, we offered shared promotional items, arranged Slovak catering featuring traditional snacks and beverages sourced from local suppliers, and created a memorable and unified experience for all visitors. Reflecting on the enriching and meaningful encounters and discussions during the event, we extend our gratitude to everyone who visited our stand. We look forward to next year’s Meteorological Technology World Expo in Vienna, where we hope to continue building strong connections and advancing meteorological innovation.
