Our calibration laboratory recently participated in the international inter-laboratory comparison (ILC), alongside 13 other labs from across Europe. The comparison focused on measuring and calibrating two key parameters: relative humidity and temperature in a climate chamber. The ILC ran from February to September 2024.
In addition to Slovakia, laboratories from the Czech Republic, Croatia, Israel, Portugal, and Romania also participated, contributing to the diverse and competitive environment of the comparison.
The objective of this comparison was to calibrate humidity and temperature sensors at predefined points, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. The successful outcome, indicated by an En value of less than 1, confirms the accuracy and quality of our calibration processes. All our measurements fell within the uncertainty range of the reference laboratory, further validating the precision of our work.
This achievement highlights our laboratory's strong performance, allowing us to aim for even lower uncertainty in the next accreditation cycle (2026 - 2031). Looking ahead, we will participate in two more significant ILC comparisons at the end of the year, focusing on temperature (PT100 in a bath) and relative humidity under varying conditions. We are confident in maintaining our high standards of accuracy and success.
