MicroStep-MIS announces its ongoing partnership with UNIS Telekom d.d. Mostar for the BHANSA meteorological systems project, a collaboration set to significantly enhance meteorological services at international airports and en-route operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently undergoing training, this vital initiative showcases our expertise in modernizing technical systems and fostering increased air traffic over the region.
The complexity of the project lies in four Automated Weather Observation Systems (AWOS) providing real-time meteorological data at the airports of Banja Luka, Mostar, Tuzla, and Sarajevo. Complemented by four Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) systems ensuring pilots have access to crucial airport conditions, a nationwide VOLMET system unifies meteorological information across the country for enhanced flight efficiency and safety. Additionally, the inclusion of Pilot Briefing services enhances the overall operational support for pilots, ensuring they receive comprehensive information before their flights. The system is supported by EUMETSAT satellite imagery, offering invaluable real-time weather insights.
The delivery of these systems to BHANSA represents a unique blend of technological innovation and comprehensive integration. We not only provide comprehensive meteorological solutions from A to Z but also bring unprecedented solutions that have no parallel globally. For MicroStep-MIS, this project signifies a leap forward in the delivery of aviation meteorological systems. We take pride in collaborating with BHANSA and contributing to the safety and efficiency of aviation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
