Unleashing the potential of AeroVis and AeroCloud: Redefining airport observation with Remote Observer
Text

We are thrilled to announce the installation of the Remote Observer system, scheduled for June 2023. The implementation will take place at U-Tapao International Airport in Thailand, where the full version of Remote Observer, complete with automated elements, will serve MET observers to enhance the quality of their meteorological observations. Thanks to the nouvelle air umbrella system to protect camera lenses from raindrops, developed by our hardware department, Remote Observer at U-Tapao will operate 24/7, even during frequent rainy conditions in this region.

This groundbreaking solution represents a significant milestone in aviation observation technology. Remote Observer consists of two distinct camera systems: AeroCloud and AeroVis, each offering unique capabilities that redefine how we monitor and analyze airport conditions.

AeroVis combines imagery from multiple cameras to provide a panoramic 360° view, enabling observers to determine prevailing visibility with unprecedented accuracy. This immersive perspective revolutionizes the way airports assess and respond to changing weather conditions, enhancing operational safety and efficiency.

Complementing AeroVis, the AeroCloud system captures dome-shaped images of the sky using a combination of visual and infrared cameras. Unlike traditional visual cameras, the infrared camera excels in cloud cover detection, providing valuable insights not only during daylight hours but also during night operations. Additionally, it measures cloud temperatures, enabling the determination of cloud height in conjunction with current temperature height profiles.

Over the past year, Remote Observer has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving from a series of experimental solutions into a fully functional product. This progress is exemplified by successful installations at airports in Poprad and Bratislava. Recognizing the system's potential, the Transport Authority of the Slovak Republic has officially approved the use of Remote Observer for remote observation.

Efficient and flexible observer management

Remote Observer provides an excellent alternative for seasonal resorts that previously had to employ observers for only a few months a year. With our system, observers stationed at year-round airports can now monitor the current situation at multiple airports simultaneously. This cost-effective solution ensures efficient monitoring without compromising safety.

Enhanced safety with infrared camera technology

Our advanced infrared camera technology records cloud temperatures, offering invaluable information about cloud cover even during nighttime operations. By providing real-time data on cloud conditions, Remote Observer significantly enhances the safety of air traffic, reducing the risk of potential hazards and ensuring smoother operations around the clock.

Optimized visibility tracking with AeroVis

Traditional visibility tracking methods often rely on a limited number of reference points. However, the innovative AeroVis module offers a greater number of reference points, leading to more accurate visibility determinations. Additionally, our semi-automatic software speeds up the process of visibility assessment, reducing subjectivity and enhancing reliability for observers. This cutting-edge solution sets a new standard in visibility tracking for airports.

Comprehensive data storage and analysis

Remote Observer provides the unique advantage of storing images for extended periods, ranging from weeks to months, according to the customer's preferences. This stored data becomes a valuable resource, offering crucial insights into weather conditions and the overall airport situation. Moreover, these images serve as training materials, enabling the education of new observers on historical situations with challenging weather conditions.

Affordable tower experience

With Remote Observer, you can experience the observation tower's panoramic view without the need for costly construction and operation. The system enhances the workplace environment, providing a modern and immersive experience for observers. The observation tower's recent reconstruction, coupled with our state-of-the-art technology, ensures a truly innovative and comfortable working environment.

Uninterrupted observation anywhere and anytime

As the name suggests, Remote Observer enables observers to track visibility and cloud cover online. With our product, observers can maintain the safety of airport runway operations even when working remotely. Given the challenges faced in recent years, including the need for remote work, our solution ensures continuous monitoring and operational safety, regardless of the circumstances.

With Remote Observer, we usher in a new era of airport observation, where advanced technology, comprehensive data analysis, and operational flexibility converge. Join us in embracing this groundbreaking system that will redefine the way we monitor and ensure the safety of airports worldwide.
