On January 30, as part of the Innovation Day event, we were honored to welcome foreign ambassadors from embassies based in Bratislava and Vienna to the premises of our Bratislava office. The event is regularly organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic to present innovative companies in Slovakia to diplomatic representatives of foreign countries.
The 23rd Innovation Day was also the first one to take place in 2023. We have been pleased to be the main protagonist and present our story to more than 24 accredited ambassadors from European, Asian, African, and American countries. The Innovation day was opened by Mrs. Ingrid Brocková, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and Mr. Martin Gažák, the CEO of MicroStep-MIS.
In 2023, MicroStep-MIS celebrates 30 years of experience in the field of meteorology. Following the opening speeches Mr. Jozef Omelka, business development director and co-founder of the company, presented our journey and its important historical milestones to the audience - from the first meteorological project, through the first steps beyond the borders of Slovakia, to pioneering solutions that bring changes in many regions. Our story started in 1993 with a small group of enthusiasts, and over those three decades, we have grown up into a world leader in the field of weather and environmental monitoring having customers in over 80 countries of the world.
The presentation was followed by a demonstration of meteorological equipment and a calibration laboratory, which is an integral part of our portfolio of activities. The presentation part ended with a demonstration of MicroStep-MIS's core product - the Integrated Monitoring System and its application for various areas such as avalanche prevention, radiation monitoring, or flood protection.
We are proud to have built a strong team that delivers systems and solutions protecting lives and helps to mitigate the consequences of environmental processes. Moreover, we are happy if our efforts are seen and appreciated. We thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the trade diplomacy for their long-term cooperation and look forward to other joint activities in the future.
