MicroStep-MIS supplied 132 climatic, 19 hydrological, and 19 agro-meteorological stations to the Kenya Meteorological Department. A total of 170 stations, including the central system, form Kenya's national meteorological network.
In the past, we delivered about forty stations to Kenya. Most of them are still in operation and the new stations will complement and expand the existing capacities. We carried out the production, integration, and testing of the stations in-house. The demonstrative installation of each station type, including the data center, took place in Kenya under the supervision of the MicroStep-MIS team of hardware and software integrators, which was approved and accepted by the customer on-site. Our partner in the project is the company New Edge Solutions, which represents us in the region and performs the installation of the remaining number of stations.
