Opening Forecasting Center in St. Petersburg

OOO MicroStep-MIS LLC, based in St. Petersburg, is soon opening the Forecasting Center. The main goal of the Center will be generation of specialized weather forecasts.
At the moment we are at the stage of building a team of forecasters to run the new Center. The head of the Center is our colleague Alla Shumikhina, a meteorologist with 13 years of experience in the field of hydrometeorological services.
Forecasts will be produced using global numerical weather forecasting and WRF models as well as satellite imaginary. As soon as the Center is fully operational, a license for forecasting activities in the Russian Federation will be applied for.
