MicroStep-MIS in cooperation with Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute contributed to well-known magazine Meteorological Technology International.

Regular occurrence of the floods and increased rate of flash floods triggered long-term efforts of the Slovak Republic focused on the flood mitigation. During the recent two decades this extremely hazardous phenomena caused several deaths and damages costing the country millions of euros. Therefore, a complex flood monitoring, forecasting and warning system, called POVAPSYS, was developed and put into operation last year. Read the full article about the system here.
